Industry Insider: PCU Tracer

Most people know about PCU Tracer with the fact that they are the only Airsoft company that has a tracer unit for a shotgun. Now your thinking, “why do I need a tracer unit for a shotgun?” but trust me you DO NEED THIS. They also make a number of standard tracer units that come in different variations and sizes. I got the opportunity to chat with Peter more about what PCU is and where they see themselves going in the Airsoft Industry.

• Can you tell the readers a little bit about your company? (what services you provide)

PCU is a small company based in Heart of Europe Slovakia. We started in 2017 with the development of our first tracer unit, PCU tracer unit Gen.1, after a year we released PCU Micro tracer unit Gen.1 and then released PCU Micro tracer unit gen.2 in the middle of 2018. In October 2018, we released the world’s first tracer unit for shotguns. Next was the PCU Micro tracer unit Gen.3 released in January of 2019. Then released PCU Micro tracer unit Gen.4 and PCU Shotgun tracer units Gen.4 (Tokyo Marui M870 Breacher, KSG, AA12, SGR12) in June of 2020, which are our latest products right now.

We also have some other products like mosfets, R-hops and other accessories.

We will soon be releasing a new tracer unit mainly for pistols, which will be the world’s shortest tracer unit named PCU Nano tracer unit Gen.1.

• With the emergence of Covid-19 how has it affected your business? (good or bad) 

It was not the easiest, we received fewer orders and our deliveries were delayed, for both our customers and suppliers. It also brought some positive things. We had to be at home during the lockdowns, which means we could work more on our designs and new products.

• In your opinion, do you think that Covid has helped or hurt the industry you provide your services to? (In what ways?) 

I think it has hurt the industry more than it has helped, because a lot of the fields have remained closed.

• Do you feel that your company provides adequate customer service to those customers who are purchasing products from you?

• What makes your company different than the ones that do the same exact thing in the industry?

The main difference is quantity and quality. We produce smaller quantities but we try to maintain the highest possible quality.

• What makes you want to keep doing what you do in the community?

It’s a passion for airsoft. I’m also an airsoft player, it’s my hobby.

• What are your current hot products that everyone is grabbing?

Our best selling product is PCU TM M870 Breacher tracer unit Gen.4 , because no one else makes a tracer unit for shotguns.
