Providing Airsoft Reviews, Airsoft Gameplay & Entertainment

Industry Insider: Lancer Tactical

People have so much to say about their experience (or not their own experience) with Lancer Tactical. I feel that Lancer Tactical has put a foot forward in the industry and accepted accountability for a number of their products. They’ve tried their best to improve, listen and they are continuing to evolve as a brand. Was able to chat with Andy more about what’s happening at Lancer.

  • Can you tell the readers a little bit about your company? (what services you provide)

We started importing Airsoft products in 2005. As Airsoft developed in the US, we created Lancer Tactical in 2012. We provide Airsoft enthusiasts with all products from head to toe with a fair price.

  • With the emergence of Covid-19 how has it affected your business? (good or bad

Due to Covid, any sports that are done outdoors have exploded. We haven’t seen this kind of growth since 2008. When I talk to field owners on average open play days, 30% of the player base are brand new. I hope that we capitalize on this synthetic growth. When we see new players we all need to include them. If we treat new players as targets, the sport will not grow. Overall our sales have exceeded all of our forecasts.

Now Covid hasn’t been all good either. Many exhibitions such as SHOT and IWA have been cancelled. Most of us in the industry have been grounded due to company restrictions. We all missed the opportunity to see dealers and players in person.

  • In your opinion, do you think that Covid has helped or hurt the industry you provide your services to? (In what ways?)

Covid, has changed the way we all do business. From Will Call procedures, our travel, we have to now do things a new way. Fields also have different policies with rental equipment. Short term it seems to stimulate sales. Long term, it’s hard to say.

  • Do you feel that your company provides adequate customer service to those customers who are purchasing products from you?

Absolutely not. From the 1st day I started here, my goal was to improve our Customer Services. Yes we have heard the complaints and take them to heart. As we started to move in the right direction, Covid hit. Luckily we bounced back and added another Customer Service Representative and are once again moving the right direction. We are always looking to improve our Customer Service. In fact if any of the readers in the Southern California area that has great customer service skills, let’s talk.

  • What makes your company different than the ones that do the same exact thing in the industry?

I will plead the 5th LOL.

  • What makes you want to keep doing what you do in the community?

I am very competitive. With negative comments about our company, I am here to make the changes. Haters will always hate, but what they don’t realize is the bad publicity keeps me focused and drives me to wake up each day and do better. It will take time, but in the end I want to provide a good quality product at a fair price and provide the service that we all deserve.

  • What are your current hot products that everyone is grabbing?

With Covid, everything has been hot. But in general all of our Gen 2s have been hot.

  • Where can people reach out to you?

Easiest would be andy@lancertactical.com
