Industry Insider: Perun Airsoft

Who is Perun Airsoft?

Perun Airsoft is based in Poland and have been making mosfets for AEG’s since 2016. Before we started I was a sales analyst in a pharma company and an amateur airsoft tech, while my brother was studying control engineering and robotics. One day I approached him asking, whether he would be able to make a drop-in mosfet for a V2 gearbox. What followed were a couple of years of development and expansion, and now we are employing several people and constantly expanding our product portfolio of airsoft electronics.

With the pandemic still ongoing, how has it affected your business? (good or bad)

Bad. Interestingly, we were afraid that COVID would discourage players from tuning their replicas, but as it turns out we have actually faced an opposite problem – insufficient supply of parts to make our mosfets. The chip shortage made electronics market difficult, but we manage to stay afloat.

Do you feel that your company provides adequate customer service to those customers who are purchasing products from you?

Yes, we never leave without answering a customer who has a question about our product or a problem with it. We always do our best to find a solution which will allow them to fully enjoy playing with a Perun in their replica.

What makes your company different than the ones that do the same exact thing in the industry?

Our products are geared more towards simplicity and reliability. I also believe that we are the only ones on the market to have our own production line. That helps us control the quality at each manufacturing step, resulting in a highly reliable product.

How would you describe your company’s success so far?

Unexpected, but we don’t let it get to our heads and constantly try to get better at everything we do.

Does your business give back to your community?

I think that it does. We sponsor and promote local airsoft events, provide good work environment for our employees, we also participate in some charities.

How do you handle negative reviews/feedback?

It’s important to take it seriously, yet not personally, which is an easy mistake to make when someone is criticizing effects of your hard work. Negative feedback is the most valuable information you can get, if you want to improve.

What changes have you made to your business strategy since you started?

None, I would say. We stick to the same principles from the day 1 – keep high quality, treat the customers the way you would like to be treated, make products which you would like to use yourself and constantly improve.

What are your current hot products that everyone is grabbing?

Our best selling product is the V2 Hybrid, which natural given the popularity of V2 gearbox on the market. However, Perun for Krytac Kriss Vector and ETU++ are also doing really well for such specialized, dedicated products.

Where do you think the company will be in five years?

We hope that by that time we will have a manufacturing plant with much bigger production capability and a R&D team, both ready to deliver whatever the players will need. I don’t know yet what will it be, given the constantly changing customer needs and technology, but we’ll be there, striving to deliver quality products according to market needs.
