Providing Airsoft Reviews, Airsoft Gameplay & Entertainment

I am bringing you a 2 minute review of the H&K Licensed MP5K distributed by Elite Force. With a world full of m4 style replicas, the MP5 has always stood side by side as the preferred SMG platform. With different types of MP5s such as the SD, A4 & A5 currently available, the MP5K is the smallest of the current offerings obtainable. For a cost of about $250, it is definitely one of those CQB go to SMGs that you will want part of your arsenal.

Be mindful this is not the limited edition one that was released with an attachable picatinny rail, flipout stock and extra magazine. This only comes with one high cap magazine and gun in the box. Those additional items can be purchased separately. This gun was shooting about 280-285 FPS with .20s and was perfect for the indoor CQB site I was playing at. It does come with threads on the front so you can add your tracer unit or mock suppressor. The thing I really didn’t like about it was where the battery compartment is located. This gun is front wired so you have to take off the front hand guard to expose the wire and then detach the back. Then you have to slide the battery in the top compartment, connect it and then put it all back together like a puzzle. This is such an inconvenience for me and I am personally gonna get this rear wired to resolve this minor issue. The hopup is also located in this front hand guard if you are looking to adjust this.  This gun, being full metal, started to become very heavy since I couldn’t really shoulder it. Had to carry it like a pistol and that was tiring after a while. The last thing for me was the trigger response. I wanted to tap on the trigger but it couldn’t keep up. It is definitely a heavy pull on it so you have to be mindful when you are facing multiple people.

All in all, I still had a great time using this gun in a CQB environment. I want to get some things adjusted on it so I can run it at some type of big airsoft game or op and let loose. If you are looking for a change from the standard m4 I would recommend this at the lower price point of $250. If you want something a step up from this, at about $400, I would recommend the MP5 A5 as that has the VFC internals, while this one is OEMed by CYMA. If you are a beginner please play with a rental gun before purchasing anything to see if you even like airsoft. If you are looking to purchase this gun, I will leave a link below.
