Specna Arms SA-F03

Hey guys this is your boy randomguykev and I am bringing you a 2 minute review of the SA-F03 powered by Specna Arms. Specna Arms has been in Europe for awhile and also in the US but exclusively distributed thru Evike but now they are all over the US, making huge waves. With the model I received it is part of their Flex  lineup, which I can’t really recommend. The SA-F03 comes in 2 colors being black and a half tan model which retails for about $170 at an authorized Specna Arms dealer. The model I received was the all black model.   

Why I say I can’t recommend this is because I feel that you aren’t doing yourself justice with this purchase. Yes another M4 but, this is literally another bargain friendly M4 that you will most likely spend another $300 – $400 upgrading to make it shoot the way that you want. This is perfect for a backup gun to give your friend if they want to try airsoft but other than that, as soon I get this I would immediately upgrade it. Trigger response is terrible, FPS isn’t consistent, it is a polymer build but I don’t know why it feels flimsy to me. I feel the moment I drop this, it would just shatter into pieces. This supposedly shoots about 375 out of the box but I was getting a mix of 390 to 380 FPS on .20s. This does come with the M90 spring to change the FPS and is equipped with the ESA system or the easy spring access system to remove the spring. I understand you have to cater to a cheaper market but after using this for a bit, this definitely was disappointing. I had no expectations but still sheeessh, not something I want to keep in my arsenal. I would recommend using that $300 – $400 that you are going to use to upgrade this gun to get something from Specna Arms EDGE 2.0 lineup that comes pre upgraded out of the box for the great price point. 

For the price of about $170, I still wouldn’t recommend this and rather you just save that money and get yourself something from the Specna Arms EDGE 2.0 lineup which would probably serve you better in the long run. If you want to just get out on the field, be my guest and grab this but know that you will be out performed by everyone on the field, including the people using rental guns.
