Lancer Tactical Gen 4 Predator

Hey guys this is your boy randomguykev and I am bringing you a 2 minute review of the Gen 4 Predator powered by Lancer Tactical. We know with Lancer Tactical they will provide us many variations of a rifle and this one is no exception to the rule. I feel they are a bit late to the market with the Gen 4s but this one did not disappoint. The model I received was the Gen 4 Predator 8’ with the Nebula II ETU. The current models in this line consist of the 8’, 10’, 13’ with the Nebula II ETU and the other line consists of the same model lengths but instead come with the Gate Aster ETU for a higher price point. The Gen 4 Predators can be purchased for about $290 – $310 at an authorized Lancer Tactical dealer.

What is the difference between this and the Gen3 you ask? In my opinion the mosfet, the newer design and the price point. Yes you can mention other internals but I want to talk about these three things because the market has changed. If you aren’t providing something pre-upgrade, with a solid mosfet, then you should leave the chat. The Nebula mosfet is not a Gate but with the redesigned optical sensor, it’s definitely comparable. The Gen4 newer design doesnt make it look and feel like a cheap shopping store replica. It’s still lightweight but with a more sleek and aggressive look. Finally the cost of it is reasonable, especially with everything you are getting internally. I did have to switch to the low power spring in this replica before using it so it was shooting about 330 – 340 FPS on .20 BBs and was shooting amazing on .25s and .28s. Maneuvering a CQB environment with the light weight design and low profile. I was honestly trying to break it and have others try to break it but it definitely was toughing it out.

If you are considering getting a Lancer Tactical product right now, I would definitely recommend the Gen 4 models, as they essentially come pre-upgraded out of the box for an affordable cost. Yes, some of the Gen 3s are still available and are cheaper but spend a couple extra dollars for something you definitely won’t have to upgrade for a while.
