Lancer Tactical Stryk Hi-Capa 5.1

Hey guys this is your boy randomguykev and I am bringing you a 2 minute review of the Lancer Tactical Stryk Hi-Capa 5.1 powered by Lancer Tactical. Something different then what I am use to but I definitely like switching it up with another platform. The Lancer Tactical Stryk was released some time ago and when I was finally able to play with it, it definitely peaked my interest. I haven’t used a Hi-Capa in almost 5 years and this got me excited straight out of the box. This retails for about $180-ish at an authorized Lancer Tactical dealer.

Straight out of the box you will notice a cut slide, similar to ones already in the market to give it that sleek look and then a super stippled grip, that won’t slip out of your hand immediately. It is said that this is TM compatible but I have another video going in depth on that soon. Some of the immediate pros I noticed are that it has a smooth trigger pull, very accurate, very consistent FPS (after you break it in) and it was lifting .32s without any issues. Some cons are that I was using a green gas mag so immediately straight out of the box it was shooting about 400+ fps but after breaking it in and allowing others to play with it, it settled around 315-320 FPS on .20s using the green gas mag provided. Other players were using a HiCapa adapter with an HPA tank to get the gun broken in but for me I wanted to stick with what was provided in the box so I could make a general assessment of the product. I live in the NJ area, which is currently cold as I do this review, so I believe the green gas mag was not holding up very well. I went through one mag before the gas was done every time, which kind of sucked. Green gas doesn’t always work in a cold environment but me playing indoors, I could see that it was just going quick. I have a love hate relationship with the stippled grip only because at times it was super sharp if I wasn’t wearing gloves, felt like I was being attacked by my own gun.

With a $180 price point and being told it is TM compatible, this could definitely emerge in the HiCapa market as another base product to use for all those HiCapa enthusiasts. Performance for this gun was absolutely amazing and it handled well. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to start off with something that isn’t expensive and that they could build off of. Thank you again to Lancer Tactical for sending this out to me. If you are a beginner please play with a rental gun before purchasing anything to see if you even like airsoft. If you are looking to purchase this gun, I will leave a link for it below.
